Edward Chang



Ed Chang focuses on white collar and complex civil litigation matters. He is often called on to represent court-appointed receivers in federal and state regulatory matters. Mr. Chang is fluent in Mandarin.


  • Assisted the court-appointed receiver in FTC enforcement actions to conduct the initial investigation, prepare the reports, initiate actions to recover assets for the receivership estate, interview individuals, review documents to determine the scope of the operation
  • Acted as local counsel in an antitrust case in Nevada for a major pharmaceutical company, including preparing motions to stay discovery, researching legal arguments to support a motion to dismiss, and preparing discovery responses
  • Successfully briefed appellate matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Nevada Supreme Court, including affirmance of a district court’s order dismissing borrower’s appeal of bankruptcy court decision and affirmance of a trial court’s order dismissing an action for lack of personal jurisdiction
  • Represented special servicers in the appointment of a receiver over property where borrower committed events of default
  • Represented lenders pursuing guarantors for breach of personal guaranty
  • Provided legal counsel in review of servicer compliance with an OCC Consent Order related to foreclosure practices
  • Represented a loan servicer against the False Claims Act
  • Represented a former political candidate against claims from a vendor of the campaign
